At sync. we believe in opportunities. We believe in mentoring and learning from others and building diverse teams that become families.

One of the ways we embody these beliefs is through our Graduate Programme. We give young, hard-working, driven people the opportunity to grow within sync. We offer them the tools they need to roll up their sleeves and jump right into the heart of every project.

When you work in a growing start-up, your responsibilities are more than just getting coffee or organizing meetings. We need your help to bring our ideas to life and build a product that we can all be proud of. We offer multiple types of internships, including summer, remote, and part-time. Regardless of which one you chose, we’ll make sure that you’re integrated in the team and have all the support you need in order to excel.

As our policy is to give everyone space to share their thoughts and comments, we’ve asked some of our former interns to share their experiences.

Hello, I’m Lia! I joined sync. in the summer of 2021. During my internship, I split my time between the Marketing department – where I helped plan campaigns, produce content and brainstorm new ideas – and the People & Culture department – where I was directly involved in the recruitment process, the implementation of a new People Operations software, and planning remote social events for employees.

I have learnt so much during this time. My whole experience with sync. has been incredibly fun. Despite working remotely for the entirety of my internship, I met all of my colleagues multiple times and really felt like a part of the team. I felt valued, respected and trusted from the very start and was honestly blown away by the patience and kindness shown to me by every single person I worked with.

At the end of the summer, I was offered a part-time position which allowed me to continue working with the team and still dedicate time to completing my degree. I was obviously thrilled to accept and will be forever grateful for this incredible opportunity.

Hello, I’m Cheng. I’m based in Toronto, Canada, and I’m a graduate of the University of Waterloo. I majored in mathematical physics and I started my internship with sync. at the beginning of 2021.

I’ve really enjoyed working with everyone at sync. As a data science intern, I learnt so much from the team. We communicated daily and worked together to define the roadmap. We worked as a team and solved many practical data-related problems. I enjoyed the work so much that I decided to accept the offer to extend my internship.

In the autumn of 2021, as my internship was ending, I was offered a full-time position as a data scientist. I was really excited and honoured to accept and I am now preparing to move to London (sync. is sponsoring my visa) and join the team there.

Looking back, I am very grateful for all the opportunities that sync. has given me. I feel I have grown so much throughout this journey and really matured as a data scientist.

Hello, I’m Lujain. I came across sync. when I was looking for internships on my University’s Job Portal, and I decided to apply.

The interview process consisted of two different calls: an initial one with Elena, our Head of People & Culture, and then a more in-depth one with Dan, our Business and Product Manager. Elena made sure to keep me updated throughout the whole process (something very few companies do!) and helped me feel at ease.

I joined sync. in June 2021, working from home. I like the flexibility that remote work offers. It’s very convenient because you don’t waste time commuting (although it can be inconvenient if you have pestering siblings, like I do!). I really like that sync. has adopted a hybrid model of work – you don’t have to go back into the office if you don’t want to, but it’s there if you need to escape your house for a bit!

My time at sync. has given me an invaluable insight into the FinTech world. Three months after my internship started, I was offered a position as Junior Business Analyst on a part-time basis to accommodate my schedule as I study for my postgraduate degree. I was thrilled to accept the position and I’m delighted to continue working with my colleagues who have all been so helpful and patient with me.

"Our intern and graduate scheme is a great opportunity for those looking to kick-start their careers in FinTech, but also for sync. to get fresh ideas and offer hands-on roles within the company that deliver tangible results."
