sync. launches to early access users and announces £5.5m funding.

sync., the all-in-one financial service utilising open banking, is launching the app to early access users across Europe today.
We also announced we have closed a £5.5m seed and pre-seed funding round.
Our app differs from competitors by combining all a customer’s bank accounts into one easy-to-use dashboard, allowing you to see the full picture of your finances, all the time.
New users can sign up to get a beautifully-designed sync. card, which can be used all over the world, and use extra secure ‘online cards’ for digital purchases.
Security is a big focus for sync. Our debit card does not show the security code (CVC number). This number was designed to be a secret PIN number for online transactions, and yet it is clearly shown on every card.
By hiding the number in the sync. app, cards become useless to thieves and online hackers. Users can also change their CVC number in the app if they are worried about security after shopping on a suspicious website.
Funding
We also announced that we have raised a total of £5.5m through pre-seed and seed investment earlier in 2020.
We originally postponed our public launch due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and feel it is now the right time to move ahead after gathering feedback from our existing users.

early access
All 37,000 registered early access users on the waiting list can now test out the app’s features without an access code.
Members of the public can also download the app from the iPhone, Android and Huawei app stores and test the BETA version of the app.
app features
sync. is more than the latest must-have FinTech card. Our app utilises open banking tools to show users all their existing bank accounts alongside the sync. debit card in one simple, user-friendly home screen.
Users can instantly transfer and hold money in different currencies using great exchange rates and spend their funds with physical cards around the world with no fees, and use online cards in the app for virtual purchases.
The sync. team, based in London, UK and Malaga, Spain, is already planning to add many new features to the app in the coming months. Plans include adding 30+ currencies, advanced budgeting options, supervised accounts, a premium offering and much more.
